Mouse basics

Most actions are click based. Left-click selects or picks things up, right-click removes or cancels, and holding Ctrl while clicking adds or removes everything of that kind.

Ctrl + Click

Ctrl+Click almost anything to link it in chat: items, skills, gear, buildings, trinkets, players and Auction House orders. In quantity grids it adds or removes all of that item at once.

Ctrl pins tooltips

Hold Ctrl while hovering anything to freeze its tooltip in place. While pinned you can mouse over the tooltip and click highlighted game terms to see their definitions. Release Ctrl to dismiss.

Hold buttons

• Hold Ctrl while pressing a hold button to skip its hold instantly. Premium Coin purchases keep the full hold.
• On the farm, hold Ctrl with Max or Till Level to ignore the Seasoned Farmer limit for that plant.

Clickable terms

Many tooltips and listings contain clickable terms. Click one to open its definition popup.

Escape

Escape opens the menu: Options, Report a Bug, Discord, Steam review and Quit. It also cancels a carried trinket and closes open pickers.

What does not exist

There are no number key hotkeys to switch skills, and gear is upgraded rather than dragged onto your character. Tab switching is click based.
